In our Schubertiade concert on Thursday 30 May we have a special 'composers' corner', with three short pieces by living composers.

One of these is 'About Time' by my friend, the Czech composer Jelena Poulíčková. Her daughter Daniela recently wrote this beautiful poem to go with the music. We'll be reading it before the performance.

Well known to Lymington audiences, Sam Jewison is “a Renaissance Man in a Jazz World”, whose vocal prowess and pianistic virtuosity has seen him tour internationally.

His acclaimed interpretation of the Great American Songbook featured in his show at Nevill Holt Opera in June 2022 and he made his EFG London Jazz Festival debut with a sold-out concert in November 2022.

We’re thrilled to have the incredible accordionist Djordje Gajic back at the festival. People are still talking about his last appearance. In this programme he will also be joined by another friend of the festival, soprano Ilona Domnich. Their varied programme will include cabaret and klezmer music.
